Accordingly, in the first 5 months of the year, 2 million 24 thousand 865 Turkish citizens and 15 million 784 thousand 213 foreign nationals traveled to Turkey, thus the number of tourists reached 17 million 809 thousand 78 people.
In the list of countries sending the most tourists to Turkey during this period, Germany ranked first with an increase of 16.20% and 1 million 122 thousand 930 tourists and the Russian Federation ranked second with 1 million 78 thousand 294 tourists. Iran ranked third with an increase of 51.78% and 946,437 tourists, followed by Bulgaria and England.
